Background
Package Right has been a VASEY service and project customer since 2007.
Problem
The customer wanted to resurrect an abandoned building for expansion that contained two large steam boilers. Antiquated and inefficient heating coils and fans were located at various locations throughout the building.
Solution
With the assistance of an outside engineer and multiple VASEY team members, an analysis on the potential energy and operational costs using the existing system versus a new system in the abandoned property was conducted. It was determined that the installation of a new Cambridge heating unit would be a much better solution than re-using 17 fan coil units and two boilers.
End Result
By installing the new efficient heating system, Package Right received a utility rebate paying 54% of their installation cost and a payback of less than two years.
