VASEY Facility Solutions is proud to announce the promotion of Kevin McDonald to the position of Director of Project Sales. With over 20 years of experience in the HVAC industry, Kevin brings a wealth of knowledge, expertise, and a strong commitment to excellence that will undoubtedly benefit our clients and team alike.

Kevin’s journey with VASEY began over 20 years ago when he joined the company as an HVAC technician. His technical skills, combined with his dedication to providing top-notch customer service, quickly set him apart as a standout employee. As an HVAC technician, Kevin excelled in handling complex and ambiguous situations, which honed his problem-solving abilities. These skills were crucial in building trust with VASEY’s clients, many of whom continue to value the relationships he established during those early years.

His strong performance as a technician led to a natural progression into project management, where he further demonstrated his leadership capabilities. Kevin took on increasing responsibilities, overseeing various projects and ensuring that they were completed to the highest standards. His ability to manage teams, deliver results, and maintain strong client relationships made him a natural fit for his new role as Director of Project Sales.

In his new position, Kevin will be leading the Project Technicians and Project Sales Representatives while focusing on solving customers’ issues and continuing to grow as a leader within the company. Kevin is committed to providing support to his team, evaluating performance, and offering solutions that meet the unique needs of VASEY’s diverse client base.

When asked how his previous roles have prepared him for this new position, Kevin reflected on the valuable experiences he gained as a service technician. “Learning to deal with challenges and ambiguous situations helped me in identifying solutions for our customers’ needs. Building trust with our clients has been instrumental to any success I’ve had in this position.”

Kevin’s immediate priorities include assisting Project Sales Representatives, evaluating Project Technicians’ performance, and continuing to provide innovative solutions to VASEY’s clients. While he did not initially pursue this promotion, Kevin’s dedication to the company and his commitment to its long-term success made him the ideal candidate to step into this leadership role. With the retirement of Rick Cope, the opportunity arose, and Kevin was honored to be chosen as his successor.

“I hope I can fill Rick’s shoes and keep this department going,” Kevin stated. “Most of us at VASEY love this company and want it to be around for a long time. In order for that to happen, everyone has their responsibilities, and I’m grateful to have been trusted with this new role.”

Outside of work, Kevin is passionate about riding his motorcycle, spending time with his dog Flash, and watching football. He also enjoys listening to Christian Rock music. Originally from New England, Kevin has also lived in New Jersey and Florida before joining VASEY from Orlando. His diverse background and personal interests add to the well-rounded perspective he brings to his professional life.
