VASEY Rebranded!

VASEY launches their new brand and expanded suite of services. As a LINC Service Provider, VASEY is focused on optimizing buildings and budgets, as well as providing cost effective, custom solutions to educational institutions, municipalities, commercial office buildings, hospitals, data centers, industrial facilities and many others.

VASEY has developed a wide range of complimentary services. VASEY’s new suite of services focuses on taking care of the whole facility rather than the mechanical systems only. These services allow VASEY to proactively help Building Owners and Chief Financial Officers (CFO’s) optimize their buildings and their budgets.

Chowing Down!

As Americans, we enjoy eating out at restaurants. In 2015, restaurant industry sales were just over $782 billion. There are one million plus restaurants located in the United States. The restaurant industry employs 14.4 million people. By 2026, it is estimated there will be 1.7 million new restaurant jobs.*

VASEY specializes in servicing the various systems crucial to a restaurant’s operation. The last thing a restaurant owner/manager wants to do is have unsafe conditions as well as uncomfortable customers. Case Study: Applebee's Restaurants

Background

 

Applebee’s has been a VASEY service and project customer since 2007.

Problem

Applebee’s had a difficult time finding a consistent and responsible vendor to respond to and maintain their HVAC and refrigeration equipment.

Solution

Implementation of a comprehensive, custom Proactive/Preventive Maintenance Program with approximately 100 roof top HVAC units and approximately 400 pieces of refrigeration equipment (reach-ins, walk-ins and ice machines) under service contracts. The life expectancy of the HVAC and refrigeration equipment has increased on average three to five years and they have also experienced increased customer comfort, higher General Manager satisfaction plus more profit to the bottom line.

Current Status

Twenty-Five Central Indiana Applebee's Locations:
Approximately 100 roof top HVAC units under service contracts
Approximately 400 pieces of refrigeration equipment are (reach-ins, walk-ins, and ice machines) under service contracts
Implementation of a comprehensive, custom Proactive/Preventive Maintenance Program has decreased emergency service calls by 30 percent
Life expectancy of HVAC and refrigeration equipment has increased on average, three to five years
Increased customer comfort, higher General Manager satisfaction, plus more profit added to the bottom line

Team Member Spotlight

Tony Kendall, Building Automation Group

VASEY - Tony Kendall  

Tony Kendall is a Project Manager in our Building Automation Group. He joined VASEY this summer and his responsibilities include working on the various building automation projects.

Sometimes Tony has to bail clients out of trouble. In one case, a customer’s cooling towers shut down causing the plant to stop production all because the customer unchecked a box on the control program screen. Lesson learned for the customer: don’t uncheck a box on your screen if you are not sure what it will do to your system.

When not helping customers Tony has a wife and 2 kids – one son, Tony and one daughter, Sophia. He enjoys Italian food, various forms of racing, traveling and exploring new places. Tony also enjoys teaching others and believes that "a rising tide lifts all boats" and that teaching others will help raise the tide.

He grew up in Centerville, IN and recently moved back from the Los Angeles area.


Cindy Schuppan, Accounts Receivable

VASEY - Tony Kendall  

Cindy Schuppan joined VASEY this summer and works in our Accounts Receivable Area. She handles billing and client correspondence.

When not working Cindy enjoys horseback riding, bonfires, being on a lake, and spending time with her family. Her favorite foods are steak & potatoes and Japanese.

She has two dogs and a horse. Colt, a six-year-old Pit Bull and Max, a nine-year-old St Bernard/Lab/Boxer mix. She rescued both dogs. Hank is a 21-year-old Paint Horse who acts like he’s two years old!

Cindy was born in Florissant, MO and lived there until she was nine. She grew up in Danville, IN.
